As Director of Curriculum and Skills, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of Gateshead College. Reporting to the Deputy Principal, Learning & Partnership, you will lead the development of a diverse curriculum and skills offer, ensuring it is ambitious, relevant, and responsive to the needs of learners, employers, and the region. You will be committed to continually driving innovation, leading employer engagement within curriculum design, apprenticeships and skills‑based programs, whilst supporting our dedicated staff in delivering innovative teaching and training methods that deliver tangible outcomes for learners.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader with a proven track record in curriculum management within the Further Education sector. Your passion for raising standards of achievement, coupled with an innovative, industry-inspired, and truly inclusive approach to curriculum and skills design, will be key to success in this role. With strong communication skills and the ability to foster effective partnerships with stakeholders, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring that Gateshead College continues to succeed.  This is an exceptional role that requires a highly visible and dedicated professional who understands the importance of a purpose-led, community-anchored college and who provides confident, inclusive leadership shaped by strong values and partnership working
