We are delighted to be working with Blackpool & The Fylde College (B&FC), one of the most successful and progressive Further Education colleges in the UK to recruit a Director of Higher Education. This is an award-winning college with an exceptional reputation nationally for its technical and vocational learning and a dedication to providing vibrant career opportunities for all. The development of the college's new Multiversity campus will bring its Higher Education provision directly into the town centre in a new, purpose-built facility. The project will launch a new model for delivering more flexible and accessible Higher Education which is directly aligned to ‘real world’ market intelligence and student demand, boosting local opportunities, social mobility, and leading to highly skilled occupations that meet regional needs.
The Director of Higher Education will play a critical role in achieving these aims, leading the development of an inclusive and ambitious culture where student experience is at the heart of everything they do. The Director of Higher Education will take the lead to ensure that the College maintains its status and standards, as the landscape for higher skills changes and new funding and curriculum opportunities develop.
We are seeking to appoint an individual who is passionate about the role which Higher Education and training can play in providing opportunities for both employers and students, who has the potential to develop the College’s expertise and reputation in the new landscape, and who can work collaboratively, through the Institute of Technology (IoT) and other means, to build effective partnerships across Lancashire and Cumbria.
