It is ferociously committed to delivering the skills and training across the communities of the Southwest region to underpin economic growth, drive productivity and widen participation.
This is a unique opportunity to sit as part of the executive leadership team that will take the college on the next stage of its journey. The new Chief Operating Officer will lead the financial strategy and ensure the financial integrity of the college group through enhanced business planning, financial control and reporting to maximise efficiencies and opportunities for growth. You will provide the day-to-day leadership for the finance, estates, MIS, IT and wider resource functions with a keen focus on capital expenditure, risk management and compliance, along with the analysis of key management information to maintain the financial sustainability of the group.
You will be a qualified, commercially orientated accountant with a wealth of strategic finance leadership experience, ideally gained within a highly complex, customer centric, multi-stakeholder environment. With strong technical knowledge, you will have excellent analytical and planning skills and be fully conversant with complex funding/revenue streams and capital investment initiatives. You must possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the capacity to engage at all levels across and beyond the organisation, to solve complex strategic challenges through deliverable and workable business solutions at this important time of change.
