Reporting to the Director of Governance, you will lead on the provision of legal support and guidance across the colleges operations and manage the commissioning and oversight of external legal advice. You will provide strategic legal counsel to the executive board, with a profound understanding of employment law, policy development with significant experience of managing external contracting service agreements and partnership arrangements. Furthermore, you will support college-wide dispute resolution, risk management, compliance, and provide guidance on the wider governance needs of the college.
You will be a degree-qualified (Law or related field) legal professional with strong operational and strategic experience gained within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment (regulated, commercial, charities, public sector). You will bring excellent analytical and planning skills, be fully conversant with change, and possess effective project management skills. You will have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the capacity to engage at all levels across and beyond the organisation, solving complex strategic challenges through deliverable and workable business solutions.
